    The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is the central bank of Switzerland. It is responsible for the Swiss monetary policy and issues the currency Swiss franc. It has two head offices, one is in Bern and the other one in Zurich.

    The SNB is a public company under special regulations. About 55% of its shares are owned by public institutions. The remaining shares are traded on the stock market.
