What is an OHLC chart?
An OHLC chart is any type of price chart that shows the open, high, low and close price of a certain time period.
Bar charts and Japanese candlestick charts are both examples of OHLC charts. The most popular being the candlestick charts. Here, the wider bodies of the candles show the open and close prices of the period. And the wicks — the lines on top and bottom of the candles — show the lowest and highest prices during the period.
