Euro (EUR)


    The euro is the official currency of the eurozone, which includes 17 of the 27 member states of the European Union.

    Introduced to the financial markets in 1999, the euro is managed by the European Central Bank. In 2002, euro coins and banknotes entered circulation.

    Trading the euro

    On the foreign exchange market, the euro is the second most traded currency in the world after the US dollar.
