    Dow Jones & Company is a U.S. publisher of financial information. It is one of the biggest financial news publishers in the world. It is usually referred to as simply Dow Jones.

    The company is most famous for the Dow Jones Industrial Average stock market index and the newspaper the Wall Street Journal.

    As well as the WSJ, there are its regional variations, Wall Street Journal Asia and Wall Street Journal Europe. The Wall Street Journal Special Editions carry translated financial articles, mostly for Latin America.

    For consumers interested in finance and investment, the weekly Barron’s Magazine provides an overview of global markets and the world economy. SmartMoney magazine offers personal finance information to affluent professional and managerial business people. It is now digital-only. MarketWatch.com is an online financial news site. FINS.com is a website for financial professionals looking for information on the finance industry and careers within it.

    Broadcasting

    Dow Jones produces two radio shows for commercial radio stations – The Wall Street Journal Report on the Wall Street Journal Radio Network and The Dow Jones Report. It also provides financial content for the U.S. TV company Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC).

    Other media services

    The company also sells financial news, information products and services to a range of corporate markets and financial markets clients, such Dow Jones Newswires, Dow Jones Factiva, Dow Jones Indexes, Dow Jones Client Solutions and Dow Jones Financial Information Services.

    The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is the company’s most important index. It also owns 10% of the following indices (it sold 90% in 2010 to CME Group):
